On 04 December 2025, led by Chairman Dasun Wickramarathna, the GHR team came together to support communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah. More than 1,000 freshly prepared meal packs were delivered to families facing disruption and loss, reflecting a belief that help should arrive quickly and with care.

The first consignment was officially handed over at the Divisional Secretariat, Kolonnawa. Following the handover, distribution was carried out in Mulleriyawa by GHR team members working alongside the Sri Lanka Army, in coordination with the Divisional Secretariat, to ensure support reached residents efficiently and respectfully.
All meal packs were prepared by Corundum Breeze Negombo, part of GHR’s hospitality portfolio. Kitchen and service teams rallied at short notice to cook, pack, and dispatch, while staff volunteers coordinated transport and managed orderly queues so families received what they needed without delay.
“In moments like this, business takes a back seat to people,” said Chairman Dasun Wickramarathna. “Our duty is to show up, stand with our communities, and do the work. I am grateful to our staff and partners, to the Divisional Secretariat in Kolonnawa, and to the Sri Lanka Army for their coordination and support. We will continue to help where we can as recovery continues.”
GHR expresses sincere appreciation to the officials at the Divisional Secretariat and to Sri Lanka Army personnel for their cooperation, and to every volunteer who lifted, carried, directed traffic, and comforted families. Their teamwork turned a difficult day into a reminder of how strong Sri Lankans can be when they stand together.
GHR will remain in close contact with local authorities to understand immediate needs and align further assistance where it can make a practical difference. The company extends heartfelt support to everyone working to rebuild homes, livelihoods, and daily routines after the storm.
