GHR was honoured to support the Navam Perahera at Gangaramaya, held across two evenings on 31 January 2026 and 1 February 2026. The event brought together devotees and well-wishers to celebrate a tradition that continues to unite Colombo through faith, heritage, and community.
Across both nights, the Perahera featured vibrant dance performances, drumming, and the ceremonial pageantry that makes Navam a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar. The second evening was attended by the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, and the Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa, alongside religious and community leaders. The proceedings concluded with prayers, bringing the focus back to spiritual reflection and blessings after the procession.
GHR is grateful to have played a meaningful role in supporting this year’s celebrations. Being part of Navam is a reminder of the importance of standing with the community and helping preserve the traditions Sri Lankans carry forward with pride.
